The region around the most beautiful Czech castle Krivoklat (Krivoklatsko) is one of the nicest parts of the Czech Republic. Within this region you will find other castles like Krakovec, Tocnik or Zebrak. Another interesting place is the historical farm in Zbezno. While Krivoklat, Tocnik and Zebrak have their own presentation, here we provide some useful information about the other two places - castle Krakovec and the farm in Zbezno.
House nr. 22 in the village of Zbezno is better known as
Hamouzuv statek (Hamouz's farm). It has a long and rich history. The known part of its history starts from the end of 16
th century. The farm is a rare display of
czech folk architecture. The farm today is
a museum of folklore in the region with typical artefacts of those ages living, working and habits.
Every saturday you can see here the original process of stewing bread in typical czech oven.

Krakovec
The ruins of Krakovec castle are on a hill above the junction of Sipsky and Krakovsky creeks. The castle was built in 1381 - 1383. Before his journey to Kostnice, the famous czech reformer Jan Hus lived here. During the hussite wars and during the thirty years war the castle was almost destroyed. At the end of the 17th century it was rebuilt but after a fire in 1783 it was abandoned and continued decaying till today.
